While some celebrities, notably Paris Hilton, have been loyal to fake tan, many have decided to entirely avoid the hassles of fake tanning. Not only that you need extra care to make sure that your body is uniformly tanned, fake tanning might be detrimental to your body. DHA is a color additive that is found in fake tan and the level of DHA contained in your spray tan products determines the tan of your skin. The dark layers produced might inhibit the absorption of UVB from sunlight which is crucial in the production of vitamin D in our body and the lack of vitamin D can lead to osteoporosis and other types of diseases. Scary, is it not?
